Anna and the French Kiss

Summary:
"Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris - until she meets Etienne St. Clair: perfect, Parisian (and English and American, which makes for a swoon-worthy accent), and utterly irresistible. The only problem is that he's taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her almost-relationship back home.
As winter melts into spring, will a year of romantic near - misses end with the French kiss Anna - and readers - have long awaited?"
Plot: The plot is the typical Boy Meets Girl, fall in love drama, but a realistic take on it and with no insta-love!

Characters: I liked Anna a lot and could relate to her in many ways, as well as I could relate to St.Clair a lot in many ways. And I was surprised for a character who isn't really there, how much I disliked Ellen.

Pros: A perfect Young Adult Romance, set in Paris. Fluffy, Cute, Funny and Realistic.

Cons: The only Con is that is wasn't (in my opinion) as great as everyone has said.

Final Thoughts: I liked this book, I really did. But I totally psyched myself into thinking this book would be the best book on the planet. I think a weird problem that can happen when a book is highly praised. The book was good, I would recommend it to a general group of people, but I am not gushing over it. Although, I did find myself having such a hard time putting it down and the book has memorable one liners. I just couldn't completely connect with the book. One thing I really liked about this book, was that I wasn't questioning whether or not it was appropriate to give to my younger cousin. Which isn't a bad thing in some books that are not, I just like that this book was more mature, but still young. Does that make sense?

Unforsaken

Summary:
"Hailey Tarbell is no typical girl. As one of the Banished who arrived from Ireland generations ago, Hailey has the power to heal—and, as she recently learned, to create zombies if she heals someone too late. But now, Hailey is finally getting a chance at a normal life. After realizing the good and bad sides of her power, Hailey has survived the unimaginable to settle with her aunt, Prairie, and her little brother, Chub, in the suburbs of Milwaukee. Finally Hailey has a loving family, nice clothes, and real friends. But her safe little world is blown apart when she tries to contact her secret boyfriend, Kaz—and alerts the incredibly dangerous man who's looking for her to her true whereabouts."
Plot: The story starts off pretty quick and progresses quickly through out from there, personally there wasn't any BIG surprises or climaxes for me.
Characters: I felt no connection to the characters, although I did like them.
Pros: quick paced story, easy read, mildly entertaining.
Cons: slightly predictable, wish the story was expanded upon, felt no connection to the characters.
Final Thoughts:  Overall, the book wasn't bad, it just wasn't my type of book. I read quickly through it, but I almost felt I was reading the same story as the first book... Although, I could be wrong since I did not read the 1st book, just from what is mentioned of the 1st story in this book, it seems the same. I can see wear some people may love this book and there is truly nothing HORRIBLE about it, just was not my cup of tea.
