1.
Don't let this cover deter you from the true awesomeness of this book.
2.
Example of when a cover is SO awesome, that you buy a not so awesome book.
3.
This Book was not what I expected at all UGH!
4.
The Only Thing that really bothered me about this cover, is that Anna, doesn't look like the Anna described in the book.
5.
I don't exactly understand, how the cover correlates with the story.
6.
Still not sure why there is a Black Cat in this and Demon Glass 's cover.
I found 2 books on my TBR pile here.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think Anna and the French Kiss matched what was told in the book much either. Maybe that is why so many Authors tend to use only parts of a scene, like show 2 lovers holding hands, but no faces. Then you can let your imagination still create the characters in your head? :)
Yea, I totally agree with your theory!
DeleteI don't think anyone knows why there is a black cat on each of the Hex Hall covers lol. Agreed with Anna and the french kiss! It's way to fluffy looking too.
ReplyDeleteNew follower also. Happy tuesday. ^^
Haha I know right?! Is the cat on the SpellBound cover too? I forgot to look! Thank You for Following!
DeleteThe Book Thief--I think Leisl was a person whose actions touched the lives of people she came in contact with creating a domino effect in her little world. How many hearts did she soften with her sweetness? How many lives did she make better? Why even death remembered Leisl. But if I designed the cover I think I would have put a picture of a filled bookshelf with a little girls palm pressed against the bindings, that was my favorite moment in the book. I just love it when a book surprises you in a good way, nice post today. kaye—the road goes ever ever on
ReplyDeleteYea, I thought it might be representing something like that, but i think they could have picked a better cover and I really like your Idea!
DeleteI totally agree with you on The Postmistress! Very deceiving!
ReplyDeleteJust thinking about it infuriates me! I am glad someone agrees though!
DeleteBut at least we can still imagine Etienne's face from te Anna cover. Etienne...le sigh :)
ReplyDeletehaha that is true!!
DeleteYes, the cat is on the cover of Spell Bound! I hadn't thought about why it was there.
ReplyDeleteAw, too bad you didn't like Mad Love - I was almost the opposite, I wasn't crazy about the cover but loved the book :)
ReplyDeleteAnd The Postmistress looks really neat - I need to check that one out.
Funny how that works! I didn't not like the story, I just think I was expecting so much more from it. Personally, I would not recommend the postmistress, since it isn't even about one..
DeleteOh yes, the Hex Hall covers with the cat on them...that's a wonderful example of a cover not quite reflecting the story within! Personally, I'm hoping the cat might finally make an appearance in Spell Bound, although that might be too much to hope for ;)
ReplyDeleteI secretly hope so too!
