Want Want Want Wednesday (11)

Want Want Want Wednesday OR W to the 4th power as I like to say.. is my own personal weekly meme I do which is basically a no restrictions version of TBR, Books To Pine For, Waiting on Wednesday, Etc.. I guess the only restriction would be that I do it on Wednesday hence the name. Anyways, If you want to get it in on the action.. Feel Free  = ) It is also Not limited to three books, that is just how many I do, cause I think 2 is too little and more then 3 is too much work.. haha.

The Angel's Game By Carlos Ruiz Zafron

With a description like this, enough is already said to intrigue me..

"In an abandoned mansion at the heart of Barcelona, a young man, David Martín, makes his living by writing sensationalist novels under a pseudonym. The survivor of a troubled childhood, he has taken refuge in the world of books and spends his nights spinning baroque tales about the city’s underworld. But perhaps his dark imaginings are not as strange as they seem, for in a locked room deep within the house lie photographs and letters hinting at the mysterious death of the previous owner.
Like a slow poison, the history of the place seeps into his bones as he struggles with an impossible love. Close to despair, David receives a letter from a reclusive French editor, Andreas Corelli, who makes him the offer of a lifetime. He is to write a book unlike anything that has ever existed--a book with the power to change hearts and minds. In return, he will receive a fortune, and perhaps more. But as David begins the work, he realizes that there is a connection between his haunting book and the shadows that surround his home."

I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell By Tucker Max

This has been a book, that I have been told by several friends; that I should read and to be honest.. although they title makes me laugh.. there was something about it that repulsed me and to be even more honest even as I write this I am still a little repulsed and I am not sure why.. Then everytime I walked into a bookstore I would see it there on the best sellers shelf. So, I eventually gave in and put it on my wish list and now I am intrigued to see how this book will leave me feeling when I actually get to read it.

The Summer We Read Gatsby By Danielle Ganek

It's something about the title of the book and its cover, that makes me want to fall into this book. It just feels so romanticized. It makes me think of summers, lakes, the 20's and love. Although, this book is modern day and from what I can tell just has to do with two sisters in the hamptoms, who are looking for love and read The Great Gatsby. Either way, I already love it. Lets hope that statement remains true when I read it.
